Berlin

We are going on Celebrity Cruise Line that docks in Warnemunde, Germany. The 3 hr. train ride to Berlin is an excursion I am hearing negative feedback. I am hearing positive feedback about staying around the ship and seeing Rostock and Warnemunde. Has anyone taken this excursion to Berlin and is it worth the $379. each person?

If you haven't already done so, post this question on the Cruises forum.

I suggest you check cruisecritic.com. There is a roll call for your particular sailing. Good luck.

$379 per person for the excursion by train?!?!
Unless this included some fantastic dinner or else in Berlin, it is a total rip-off.
If you negotiated with any of the cab drivers at Warnemünde port they would take you to Berlin and back to the ship for just one time that money, I guess.
Warnemünde is a pretty nice little port town with a pretty quaint little old town.
In addition, you can go on your own by suburban train to Rostock or Wismar for a small fraction of what that trip to Berlin costs. More like 25 euros or less r-t for both of you together...

or check out http://www.shoretrips.com. They can probably provide you a private transfer and guide in Berlin, again for a fraction of the $379 pp.
