Bed and Breakfast near Skipton, Yorkshire

I will be traveling to the Skipton area for Yarndale. All of the bed and breakfasts in Skipton appear to be booked, so I'm looking into alternative areas. Does anyone have suggestions for towns/villages with convenient access to Skipton (or suggestions for nearby B and B's!)? Preferably would like something on the cuter side with at least one pub/restaurant for dinner. I'll be renting a car so can also doing something more rural.

A bit to close to me to know B&Bs but the Craven Heiffer gives a good pub lunch and has rooms.

Mrs Bilbo and I will be attending the Auction Market event

Alternativley the A59 into Harrogate normally has the odd B&B going, I'd use Trip Advisor or Google maps.

The very pretty area of Malham is worth a check, the road into Skipton is not too slow and the village pleasant

Surprised you can't find anything in Skipton itself.

I can recommend the Lister Arms in Malham. I've also stayed at the Buck Inn: the breakfast was great but the room was small and dark and dinner was pretty rubbish, so I wouldn't stay there again.

If you stay in Malham, you'll pass Town End Farm Shop on the road back from Skipton. Fabulous tea room, not open in the evenings unfortunately, but worth stopping for lunch. The Yorkshire chorizo and mozzarella wrap was so good I went back the next day for seconds.
