My husband and I love architecture, especially Baroque. I am planning our itinerary to Andalucia. I'd love any comment and suggestions for interesting small towns to stop in. What do you think about Baeza, Ubeda and Priego de Cordoba?

Day 1 -3: We will fly into Malaga, pick up a car at the airport and drive to Granada via Antequera. STay in Granada
Day 4 - I'd like to drive to Jaen, Baeza and Ubeda. Perhaps stay in Ubeda. Is this worth the trip?
Day 5 - Drive to Cordoba via Prego de Cordoba
Day 6- visit Cordoba
Day 7 - drive to SEville and drop off car
Day 8 - Seville
Day 9-tour to Jerez , White villages and Ronda. Tour ends in Ronda (overnight in Ronda)
DAy 10 - Ronda and bus to Malaga
DAy 11- Malaga
Day 12 -Malaga
Day 13- Depart for US

It's worth the time if you have a night to spare. The Parador should be good for an overnight.

I think it is always worthwhile to visit smaller towns and not just cities--though I have not made it to those. However, I am curious how you have allotted your days. While I was extremely fond of Malaga, I would not have chosen the most time there over all of your other stops.
In case you have not used it, viamichelin is a great resource for mapping drives (reputedly accurate and you can choose scenic drive, etc.).

A nice trip. Yes, Baeza and Ubeda are worthwhile, but not much to see in Jaen. I would take a day from Malaga and spend another one in Seville.

Agree with Bedar. We were very disappointed in Jaen and sorry we had taken the time to go there. We missed Baeza and were sorry for that. We loved Ubeda and definitely worth it.

Thank you all. I had already decided to spend less time in Malaga and add a day to Sevilla. So glad you've confirmed this idea.
