Are You Planning a Trip to Spain for Next Spring?

Essentially I'm interested in two pieces of information.

What is considered a reasonable air fare from the U.S. to Spain for next spring (May - June 2003)? Where did you get it?

Weather and timing.
Madrid, Seville, Granada.
Obviously most people would like good weather (not too cold, not too hot and probably dry).
Having said that, if I have a choice of a little to hot and dry or a little to cold and wet I'd choose a little too hot.
How different are the above areas say, last half of May or mid-June?

Thanks.

I went to Spain between 3-18 May this year. It rained a lot the first week but the second week was nice and sunny. I have watched weather programs on television and it always rain during the first week of May.

Myer--- I am glad to see your plans to Spain are getting solidified (just returned from Rome; I'll get back to you on the Salamanca question, although Maribel has done a fantastic job in posting about this wonderful town).

Continental out of Newark tipycally has terrific deals to Madrid on the Spring, including good prices for connections. The prices are usually out by mid-Feb, but get in the habit of checking religiously; they even post a calendar for days with avaialble seats for the fare. I flew them to Madrid once (paid $424 including a connecting flight out of ALB). Excellent service. Cheaptickets.com is another established consolidator that I have used repeteadly with no complaints whatsoever. Very professional and great service on their 1-888 number. I have also flown USAirways to Madrid out of Philadelphia at good prices as well. Hope these tips help out!
