April or June for Florence and Venice?

I am planning a spring trip that will have Florence and Venice at their heart. Is there any significant difference in crowds in these cities between these months? I have consulted climate databases and am not asking anyone to forecast the weather months ahead. If we go in April we would likely arrive in Florence just after Easter and then go to Venice. A June trip would likely be in the first half of the month.

April--less humid, less people.

Hello Gavin, I agree with elenem. Both cities can get flooded with visitors by June and yes Florence especially can get quite humid in June. April imo would be more relaxing. And if you get a few spring showers you will still have a beautiful time.

I'll third that. Heat and humidity can be quite uncomfortable in Florence in any month without an R in it. April's a much better bet.
