Two hotels in the Old Town of Antwerp noted in a forum posting, without review, are the Banks and the Diamonds and Pearls. Has anyone on this forum actually stayed at these hotels and will provide an opinion or review?

Hotel Banks looks great; new hotel, wonderful location.
I haven't been inside, but pass it often.
I just see from your other post that you have booked Matelote. Don't know that either, but it's a great location and looks good.
For restaurants; I like Dock's Cafe, The Glorious, Hungry Henrietta.
The Zilte, on top of the MAS museum is fantastic but very expensive; it's more reasonable at lunchtime. And in the same area; Marcel is very good.
If you have time to visit the Art Nouveau district in Berchem (you should), then go to Euterpia.
For hotel reviews, check Tripadvisor.
Banks and Diamonds & Pearls aren't rated very high. Matelote gets 4.5 out of 5 points!
Some other very good restaurants in the Art Nouveau District (called Zurenborg) are Ardent and Mise En Place. It's a trendy neighbourhood with lots of outdoor cafés, lovely on a warm(ish) summer night!
