We would like to drive to Andorra from Barcelona in late October. Does anyone have any advice for the route to take (preferably the most scenic) and/or hotels for 1 night. I have checked ViaMIchelin for a route, but it seems to be the quickest rather than scenic.
Andorra hotels and driving advice.

There are two ways to get to Andorra from the Spanish side. The one using major roads goes from Barcelona to Puigcerda to La Seu d'Urgell to Andorra. According to the Michelin map, the section from Ribes de Freser is particularly scenic (marked in green). The other way is to go via Manresa and Bassella to La Seu d'Urgell. It is also marked as scenic on the Michelin map.
Thanks, Michael.
Can anyone recommend a hotel? TripAdvisor isn't very helpful, and I couldn't find anything here for Andorra.
Just outside The town of Andorra in a place call La Massana there is a nice hotel call Xalet Ritz. you can check it in www.andorramania.com
Used one Bancotel coupon last year (cost around $50)and stayed in 5-star Holiday Inn Crown Plaza suite in Andorra La Vella. Excellent accommodations & close to shops, etc.
