Air conditioning in Prague and Budapest
We will be traveling to Prague and Budapest in early June. My husband is very sensitive to the heat. Do you recommend I get hotel rooms that are air conditioned? The thought of a sleepless night in a hot room does not appeal to me but I can't figure out whether it's really that hot in early June.
Thanks for any insight.

Typically, it is still a bit cool (or even cold) there in June, but the past few years have brought summer heat waves, so I would book the a/c if you are that sensitive. Nights are usually nice & cool, but you just never know. Of course, you could also just ask for a fan, which would probably be fine for early June (just in case).

It varies.. I have been in Prague at end of May/early June once when it was very cold and rainy my entire stay (down to 50 at night, or lower), and another time when it was fairly hot and people were wearing sandals and shorts in the daytime, at least. I was glad that trip that I had a hotel with AC.

I, too, am sensitive to heat. Easily suffer from heat exhaustion. When we were there in May two years ago we found it to be extremely hot (but then we live in northern Canada so wear shorts when it is barely above freezing).

Hello!
I would absolutely recommend you finding a hotel with air condition. Currently it is 20 degrees in Budapest, and by June it might get much warmer, so if you are sensitive to the heat, I would absolutely get hold of a hotel room with air condition.
It might be that you will not need it, but if it gets hot (which is very possible) it is good to have it available.
