11 Days to See Scandinavia

Hello,

My boyfriend and I are flying round trip into Gothenburg Sweden from 24-Sept to 6-Oct. When you factor out the international travel, our sightseeing of Scandinavia spans 11 full days (25-Sept to 5-Oct). I would love to receive recommendations for what to see/do during our stay.

We are an active couple, so biking, hiking and water activities are enjoyed. At the least, we know we want to see the capital cities (Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen) and we would very much like to cruise the fjords (Bergen). Of 11 full days, Day 1 and Day 11 need to be in Gothenburg Sweden. How should we fill the time in between?

Thank you!

IMHO Stockholm has by far the most to see and do and is worth at least 5 days, Copenhagen 4 and Oslo perhaps 2 - but that's your whole trip - which is really only 9 days on the ground. So I think you need to drop something. Realistically you can do Stockholm, a little Oslo and see some fjords. Hiking you can do near fjords and biking in towns Not sure what water activities you mean - if IN the water I think it will be too cold. If boating - there are several day trips from Stockholm out to sights in the archipelago - but not sure how late in the year.

Our first trip we did 4 days in Copenhagen, 4 in Norway [Oslo and then on to fjord] and 5 in Stockholm.

Given your interests, you might want to check out the Lonely Planet guidebook(s) for the area.
