Any Info about Song of Flower

We are considering a 10 night cruise on Song of Flower around Cape Horn, South America. I have sailed on the Radisson Diamond and thought that was a wonderful ship (except for the coffee!) I want to take a South America Cape Horn cruise to see the penguins, glaciers and fiords. Is Song of Flower a good ship for this type cruise. We had a balcony on the Diamond, but do not want to spend the huge sum for one of the 10 suites with a balcony on Song of Flower. Will we feel to enclosed? The staterooms are 200 square feet. I have been on several cruises in the past with only a window, but the last cruises we have taken have been in balcony staterooms. I like a smaller ship, but wonder if Song of Flower is too small. I think it must be a great ship, but would like some reassurance before booking. I am sure the food and service are excellent. Thanks for any help regarding this ship.
I cruised the Song of Flower about 15 years ago and it certianly was an exclusive, excutive type yacht.

You know how some cruises you never forget. Well, this was one for me.

Paul

We were on the SOF last Oct. around England. It is a luxurious and sophisticated ship. We had a double room (400sq ft) but not the balcony (which is a smaller suite), which you won't need or use around Cape Horn. It is a small ship which we really like. The food and service were excellent. It sounds like a good ship for that type of cruise.

We were recently in port on Silverseas.

Song of Flower docked right next to us and I watched it for much of the day. It looked like a nice ship from the outside, but unlike Silverseas where most cabins have a private balcony, SOF did not offer that.

The Song is getting a little long in the tooth.

Think about trying one of the newer ships in their fleet.

Adelle,

I have sailed Song of Flower as well as Silversea and most of other 6 star ship. Song of Flower is by far my fravorite. It is for people who are interested in intimate, itnerary instensive cruises. If you require extensive evening entertainment this won't be the ship for you. If you are looking for an enriching and luxurious experience, you won't do better than this. One caveat...Captain Dag is leaving to prepare to take command of the new "Yoyager". He is such an important part of the overall ambiance, I do believe his departing will impact the onboard experience. I would join any Song of Flower cruise in a hear beat!
