Anti-Coffee and Tea Drinkers

What has Holland America got against the thousands of people who don't drink coffee and tea. They have to pay a penalty for ordering beverages.

They don't have anything against you. As a matter of fact, they love you! They can charge you more because you don't fit in with what they believe the tastes of the proper cruise passenger should be.

Bunny, Exactly what are you talking about? Almost all cruise lines charge for soda, alcholic beverages, speciality coffees, etc.
If you want "all inclusive" you will need to move up to Crystal, Seabourne, etc. Even then it's not free, just included in the upfront cost. Maybe I don't understand what you are getting at though.

Bunny, let me guess, the only cruise you have ever been on was a Holland America ship and they offered free coffee with meals and on the Lido deck, right? Don't fret, almost all ships do the same. Yep, most also charge extra for soda and alcohol. So, don't think that coffee-tea drinkers get drinks for free.

What's the big deal? Next thing you will do is claim that you can't drink coffee or tea because they have caffein and you are Mormon, so Holland America is discriminating against you because of your religion.

Jim,

No not caffine, its the tanic acid and yes it is a medical condition that causes the problem with tanic acid. Its call Acid Reflux coupled with Hiatel hernia.

So don't judge all based on yourself, so of us have legitimate health problems.

Bunny, accept the fact that everyone in the world is out to get you. It is a big conspiracy. Down with Bunny.

You're not forced to buy beverages. Water is always free.

I love water. When I cruise I carry my empty, insulated water jug in my suitcase. Before I spend the afternoon by the pool, I fill the jug up at the water/ice station at the lunch buffet. Several people have commented that it was a good idea. Just passing on some info.
P.S. Patty---no ALL water is free on the cruise. They will charge for bottled water.

So why can`t you drink some kind of juice in the morning that agrees with you? Most people drink water for dinner anyway.

Hey, HAL discriminates against me! I drink Martinis and they charge me $6.00+ and they give away coffee free. Not fair.
Opps, I forgot, life is't fair. never mind.
