1 night in San Juan,Pr

Hi folks. My wife and I, along with our 2 year old, will be in San Juan from 5-11:00 in the evening next Tuesday. What can we do in this limited time? Do they have horse carriage tours we can take? How about shopping/eating? I realize that is an extremely limited time frame, but that's all the time the cruise ship we'll be on allows. Thanks.

i think you should go horse back riding in the rain forest its really fun you will enjoy cause i did when i went.

Gina. we will be in San Juan 2 nights. This sounds like fun. How long is the ride? How expensive? Is it in a group? Tell us more. Thanks.

Definitely take a horse carriage ride in Old San Juan. They run very late and it is a really nice experience at night with the carriage lights and the quiet of the city. The Wyndam Hotel has outdoor food and drink service. There is an ice-cream shop across the street. Just walking along the water is beautiful at night. No shopping late at night. Your ship should have an on-deck party. Paul

Paul-- Can you tell me why so many cruise lines are having their ships arrive so late in San Juan? Larger port charges during the day? I haven't figured this out---any insight?

the horse back riding is in the after noon and the morinrgs not at night yes its a group thing there like 20 people in a group

Sorry Gina, we have taken a carriage ride every time we dock in Old San Juan at night. We have the driver take alternate routes and take longer rides each time. They will operate as long as there is business. You probably will not see them say after 11PM. But we always take them after late dinner and I am sure it is after 10PM. Cruise line must stop at San Juan due to the dumb Jones Act. Paul
