The Veranda Resort at Turks and Caicos

Has anyone stayed at the All Inclusive resort Veranda? We are thinking about staying there for our first trip to Turks and Caicos to celebrate my 50th birthday. I like the thought of a "no hassle" vacation of an AI. Any feedback would be appreciated!

It's beautiful. Think Four Seasons with food and drinks included.

BUT

It's not a typical AI.

It's extremely quiet. Pools are small. No activities. It does have a spa for a surcharge. Excursions are at a surcharge.

It's towards the end of a 12 mile beach so if you want to explore (which you should) you need a car. It's right next to Beaches Resort, which is loud and crowded. The beachfront is a little more narrow than most of Grxace Bay.

Everyone that has stayed loved it. Rooms are extremely nice. For you get in Provo it's priced well.

You will miss out on the terrific restaurants of Provo with amazing settings. Unless you promise to venture out.

For the money what's included and what price you pay, you can still venture out a couple of nights.

Thanks! Sounds perfect for us! Was thinking about renting a car but alittle unsure about the driving on the left thing. Could you rent a car for only part of the stay? Would they deliver to the hotel since the hotel offers an airport shuttle and may want to get the car midway of the trip?

Check out Grace Bay Car Rentals, older cars but great service.
Yes, they will deliver and pick up the car, rent for as many days as you want/need it.

They can't offer you an airport shuttle, it's against the law. They do meet and greet you at the airport and probably pay for your taxi?

The island is flat, roads are in good shape, not hilly, 2 lane hwy, so driving on left is actually quite easy. Locals are aware that vacationers are funny about driving on the other side.

All car rentals deliver, I love GBCR, excellent service. Veranda is actually associated with Caicos Wheels, so maybe get a better bargain staying there. They also have ATVs that you can drive to explore, fun!
