Suggestions for 75th Birthday for father
Hello everyone,
My brother, sister-in-law & I are looking to take my dad for a surprise 75th Birthday vacation to the Caribbean at the end of March (it would be 2017). Looking ahead to start saving for this trip. We are looking at spending about $3,000 for 5 days without airfare. We would rather not have to rent a car either.
We have already been to: Cancun, Punta Cana, Jamaica, St. Martin, Aruba, and the Bahamas. We would not be opposed to going back to any of these islands. We were looking at the Cayman Islands, but didn't know if there were other things to do besides snorkeling/scuba.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thank you
Liz

A cruise to the Southern Caribbean would let you visit some beautiful islands, St Lucia, Barbados, etc. without necessarily doing water sports stuff. No car rental necessary. Seven day from SJ would give you a great itinerary.
If you must do shorter, then from Miami or Ft Lauderdale, but they do not do S. Caribbean.

Grand Cayman has 7 mile beach, Turtle farm, dolphin discovery and Botanical gardens. Lots of condo options on 7 mile beach. I would rent a car just so you can access all the attractions, restaurants etc more easily. One thing to note is that in general Cayman can be quite expensive so you should take that into consideration.
