restaurant recommendation
We are going to GCI in May for our daughter's wedding and are looking for a nice place to have dinner the night before. There will be 15 of us. We would like someplace that has a local feel to it, but with a varied menu as some people don't like seafood. Also, some place that has local entertainment might be nice. Any suggestions? The wedding is at Grand Old House so we wouldn't want to go there. Thanks for your input.

The Wharf is a nice choice - it's on the water and the food is very good. They have a Sommelier on staff and I highly recommend the Coconut Cream Pie! There is also Calypso Grill, with a deck overlooking the water and an inside dining area - both are terrific. Neither has live music on a regular basis, but both have diverse menus. Another choice is the Reef Grill at Royal Palms. You can dine at their restaurant either inside or outside on their patio, and then walk to their beach bar, a literal stone's throw away, that has a live band playing Caribbean music on the weekends. The Wharf and Royal Palms are on the main Seven Mile strip. Calypso Grill is in the district of West Bay, about ten minutes' drive from the other two. Enjoy!

All great suggestions above.
I will concur, and recommend either The Reef Grill or Calypso Grill.
We hardly ever eat at the same place twice on vacation, but the two trips to GC, we ate at the Reef Grill twice. It really is that good!!
