Quick Flight from Ft Lauderdale or Miami To Carib or Key West

Hello, we will be ending an Eastern Caribbean Cruise in Ft Lauderdale on 11/14. We would like to extend our vacation by another 5 - 7 nights on a warm, safe island in the Caribbean. I think the Florida Keys might be an option as well. My husband hates to fly so I would like to keep the flying torture to under 2 hours. We live in California so getting him to the cruise and back will be enough flying time. Any suggestions for a quick flight from Florida to a great escape....relaxing, warm, beautiful blue water, good snorkeling, nice people and food would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!

Only an hour and 15 minutes on a big jet (many flights to other islands are on puddle jumpers)

Turks and Caicos. Best beach in the world, most gorgeous turquoise water, and decent snorkeling. Airport code is PLS

Bahamas, Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman.

Though I love Key West, you will not find beautiful blue water, nice beaches or good snorkeling there. The food is fabulous though.

You could rent a car and drive to the Keys. Save your husband the worry of a flight all together.

Also look at Bahamas Air they sometimes offer free flights if you book with an approved hotel.

The Out Islands of the Bahamas would be a perfect choice.

The Florida Keys are beautiful, but they don't really feel anything like a Caribbean island to me.
