Quick Beach Recommendation

Which beach do you recommend on St Maartin/St Martin? We don't need bands, loud wave runners, or stores and beach hawkers. We do need a relatively quiet place, chairs and a place to buy cold soda would be a plus. We're leaving in 72 hours, so give me your ideas ASAP!
Thanks.

Dawn Beach, on the east of the island in St. Martin, seems to have what you are looking for - quiet, chairs for rent and and some beach bars and restaurants.

Anse Marcel - where Le Meridien is on the French side, or orient beach.

Rouge/Red Beach and Friars Beach are really nice. They also have a couple of beach bars and chairs available for rental. Prune/Plum Beach is nice, but there are no bars or chair rentals.
I love Friars and Happy Bay (same area)...they're picturesque and quieter than other beaches. Also, Baie Rouge.
Enjoy!
Contessa

We ended up going to Orient Beach, which was great. We took a cab with another couple, so weren't part of the Cattle Car cruise ship tours, AND we could come and go when we pleased. Rented two chairs and an umbrella for $15 at Kon Tiki--they also have a bar/restaurant and an open freshwater shower. The area around the point becomes the main 'clothing optional' beach, although we saw both topless and total nudity near Kon Tiki--this is not a problem as everything is low key and casual. Water was gorgeous!
