Hello, I've been to St. Kitts 3 times. What do you want to know about the island? I think it's a wonderful place, is not overrun with tourists and has very friendly natives.

Post some specific questions and I'll try to answer them if I can.

Laura
I have stayed at Jack Tar Village on all three of my trips to St. Kitts. Although I have not been since it was taken over by Allegro and redecorated, I understand that it is looking quite good these days.

The Kittians are very welcoming to tourists. I have found them to be extremely friendly and helpful. As a whole, they are very proud of their island and with just cause I believe.

The main thing I like about St. Kitts is its laidback atmosphere. It does not have that "touristy" feel about it like other destinations such as Aruba, Nassau, or Cancun. The shopping is okay, nothing spectacular. Make sure you visit Brimstone Hill Fortress and the batik factory while on the island and do take the ferry over to Nevis, which is an absolutely gorgeous little island.

If you are looking for a glitzy destination, with lots of nightlife, St. Kitts is not a good choice for you. However, if you are looking for a pretty island with friendly natives and a relaxing time, St. Kitts is a wonderful choice.

I hope I have addressed your questions and would be glad to answer any others you might have.

Laura

hello there! I have been to St Kitts 7 times! It is my home away from home! The island is amaznig! The locals are the most wonderful group of people you will ever meet. They are so friendly and so kind, and very proud. They are more than happy to share with you any information that they know about their island. And they are all very knowledgeable!

I too stay at Jack Tar. And I have been there since it has undergone the changes and renovations and I must say that they are all wonderful! It has truly added to the hotel in a very good way.

The staff at Jack Tar are wonderful and are there to be of assistance and help. They are a great group of people!

I can assure you that anyone who goes to St Kitts will have a WONDERFUL experience. It is the greatest place I have ever been and that tends to be the general feeling of anyone who goes.

Good Luck, and if you have any more questions you can feel free to e-mail me directly!
Krista
Ok you guys, you're making me feel bad. I've only been there once! If any of you experts get a minute, email me some info about a nice place to stay. Not too $$ with a nice beach. Thanks!
