HELP! Trying to decide which island is best for us!
Hi everyone! My husband and I are trying to decided which Caribbean island and resort we would like to visit for our anniversary (June 2017) but with so many choices we just can't decided.
Our top must haves are the following:
Adults only
All-inclusive
Safe area to venture out
pretty beach area/clear ocean water
fun nightlife at the resort or in area around the resort
We are in our mid 30's and we have only traveled out of the US for our honeymoon and we stayed in the Riviera Maya at one of the Palace resorts, which is now a Hard Rock. We loved the hotel and had lots of fun but our biggest complaint was that we thought we were going to be on the beach but the resort only had a small lagoon; we were pretty disappointed about that especially after we visited Cancun for the day and we saw how beautiful the water was there. We have a budget set for around $6000 with flights. Thank in advance!!

If you are willing to go back to the Riviera Maya, check out the Royal Hideaway. It is an adults only AI resort on a beautiful beach. Clear turquoise water. The BEST service you can imagine and even good food! It is a quiet resort but has activities available. It is a five minute taxi ride to the town of Playa del Carmen if you want more night life.

Consider Secrets Maroma about 45-60 min from Cancun. Great all inclusive on a lovely white sand beach. fantastic pool area. Very good food/restaurant selection and the service was excellent. Activities that you can choose to participate in or not...wonderful coffee bar which we loved. you can take a short cab ride to playa del Carmen for shopping and nightlife.

Why not try a more exotic destination like St. Lucia. Try one of the three Sandals Resorts there, all with beautiful beaches and much nightlife in and around the resorts. Also take a look at the BodyHoliday St Lucia. It is an adults only Beach AI resort. https://www.thebodyholiday.com/
There are many other resorts in St Lucia that would suit you but some of them are not fully all inclusive.

This is a link of the St Lucia tourist board, it has pictures of the island. It is a truly beautiful place with the most breathtaking scenery I have seen and beautiful beaches as well.
