Favorite place in the world

We (12 friends, all couples) are planning to spent Xmas 1999 and NYE 1999-2000 somewhere in the world together.
Must : nice weather and water around us, for the rest we are flexible. Would like to stay in a luxurious house
Any suggestions where we can spent 2 wonderful weeks?
Thanks

Check out http://www.mclaughlinanderson.com/vi...reat/indes.htm for a villa on St. John. At a more modest price checkout http://www.cooper-island.com for 6 beach rooms on Cooper Island, BVI.

There is an error in the last section of the first address above. It should read "/index.htm".

There are some really nice houses on Virgin Gorda and Tortola that are on the beach. No matter where you decide to go, I'd get right on it if I were you--I know the Windjammer trips are all booked up for that time period.

My favorite place in the world is Barbados. I've been there many times, once for New Years Eve (actually "Old Year's Night" as they call it) and it was wonderful! Check out this site for villas - http://www.gobeach.com/barbados/barbados.htm and have a GREAT time! Sounds like quite a trip!

Okay, so this group is listed "Carribean" -- and your question was "in the world" -- and I haven't been there, but several people I know who have been to the pacific Islands say that Tahiti and nearby islands make the Caribbean look like Hoboken . . . (sorry, New Jersey residents, could have said almost anytwhere else . . . but let's admit it -- who would spend a romantic couple of weeks by the turgid Hudson River?)

Whatever you're going to do, you'd better get on the stick and do it because things are booking up FAST! Everything that we wanted to do was booked so we decided to stay home and do a bang up trip in the spring of 2000 after everyone has gone home!
