Departure Tax

Does anyone know how much the departure tax is in Grand Cayman? We are in the process of tieing up loose ends and don't want to be surprised by a huge bill.

Thanks,

Departure Tax: There is a CI $20.00 or US$25.00 departure tax for the Cayman Islands that is included in the price of your airline ticket.

Got this from the CI Dept of Tourism website.

We flew Delta when we went down and don't remember paying a departure tax. Must have been included.

You did right to check. Every island is different. Ask when you pass through immigration just in case it changes.

Effective January 1st, 2013 the international departure tax for visitors traveling by air from the Cayman Islands is US$37.50 and this tax should already be included in the price of your ticket. Children under the age of 12 are exempt. (http://www.thecaymanislands.ky/visitor-faqs/)

Departure tax is added to your airline ticket. You do not have to pay separately.
