CuisinArt- which room?

We are looking at CuisinArt for our honeymoon. I understand that Cap Juluca is a favorite among many, but with the deal we are getting and what we need, it looks like we will be staying at CuisinArt.
We are planning on the beachfront 1 bedroom suite. Is this is a good choice? First or second floor? Any particular villa you would recommend?
thanks for your expertise!

For optimal privacy and view and sunning get a top floor suite. Also, the end towards Anguilla Great House (East end, Unit #8 or so, if memory doesn't fail me) provides more quiet.
We stayed there last April and loved it. Take the hydroponic greenhouse tour. Eat lunch in their poolside restaurant.
Restaurant recommendations: Altamer, Blanchards, Mangos, Olivers, Staw Hat.
Go to Scilly Cay on the day they have live music. Take a day and go to St Martin to shop in the market in Marigot.
Take advantage of the SPA at CuisinArt, they are wonderful. Be a poolside or on the beach at 4 pm for sorbet.
It is a wonderful place with wonderful people.

The one bedroom luxury suites are on the top floor of each of the villas.

CuisinArt is a wonderful resort. Yes I a Cap fan, but this hotel is lovely. I agree with the above poster, I think the end unit is #10. It is more quiet as you have yards and yards of open beach to the east of you. We dined there
again this November, Santorini is excellent, and nothing can beat the greens, and cherry tomatos at the lunch terrace.
I would include Trattoria Tramonto in the restaurant list, and do try Georges for lunch at CJ.
You will have a happy honeymoon!
I agree with Penny, especially George's. I would also suggest trying E's Oven and Tasty's. Congratulations and have a wonderful honeymoon!

We stayed at Cuisinart 10/26-11/3 and loved it!! The grounds are beautiful, the hydroponic garden is unique, the beaches are great, the staff was wonderful and the restaurant (Santorini) was the best!! we stayed in unit 9 and it was fine. We had the luxury suite (3rd floor) sine they made a mistake and didn't have a 2nd floor suite available for us as requested. The only advantage to the luxury suite is the solarium. The advantage to the 2nd floor is the view. If the first floor actually led onto the beach I would go that way but it doesn't.
The spa was great for massage, treatments, etc. The cooking class was enjoyable as well.
We ate at Malliouhana, Pimm's, Altamer, Tasty's, Hibernia, Straw Hat and Santorini. Santorini was the best. Hibernia and Tasty's tied for 2nd. Straw Hat would be my 4th choice. We found Malliouhana, Pimm's and Altamer to be overpriced and not as good.
We also visited most of the other resorts (including Cap) and liked Cuisinart the best. In fact, we're going back in May. I hope this helps.

How could the 2nd floor view be better than the 3rd floor?

When you guys say "luxury" are you refering to the "luxury jr suite" or the "luxury room"?

Thanks

As far as the ground floor room, we were in the end room, walked out the back sliding door, and down a short path, to the beach. The units are all on a high dune, all have great views.

Leaving for CusinArt on Feb. 1 - have a ground floor junior suite reserved because we thought it opened up directly onto the beach - what's the scoop?? Thanks.

feel free to correct me if my memory is wrong but you can exit the end rooms towards the beach. I do not recall if you can from the centre downstairs room. You do not want a centre room. The end rooms give you a view out and down the beach. The opposite side wall is a solid white one. The villas sit on dunes above the beach and you will walk down a short flight of stairs to the beach level. They don't sit right out on the beach but there is some landscaping around the villas and between the villa and the beach but not much .

Well, a dune is part of the beach! The villas sit upon the dune, on the beach!!
The incline is a little steep, i have seen people go down the slope, but there is a path, parallel to the beach, a 1 minute or less walk! You can exit the sliding glass doors, in the end rooms to access the beach! some rooms have king size beds, others have two doubles!

Go to epinions.com and search under travel for Anguilla. There is an interesting review from 02 of CuisinArt that you may want to take in for perspective.

Interesting perspective. Guess for someone who would fork out all those bucks to swim with dolphins yet complain about a $2 overcharge says it all. If one the 3rd floor it's a luxury junior suite or a one bedroom NOT the junior suite. CuisinArt has it's shortcomings for sure (small glitches) and not worth rack rates, IMO but lots of reduced rates and deals out there. Since co breakfast is included and you'll want to dine out, skip the meal plan. It is a beautiful property and you indicate that you'll be staying in the one-bedroom suite that shares the top floor of each villa with a luxury junior suite. The junior suites occupy the other floors below. The sundeck and private sunning area is very nice on the top.
