While many US national cell phone carriers do work in Canada, some do not. For example, Virgin Mobile USA does not allow for roaming in Canada.
Check with your own carrier to be sure and sometimes even if it works, they require you to let them know in advance so they can have it activated on your phoned. BTDT.
Enjoy-la!

I was just in Canada from the US and was told (have no idea whether true or not) that the roaming charges are extremely high--I was told around $40. Again, only heresay, but perhaps worth checking into.

We are now driving to Quebec from Michigan. Border crossing is in Port Huron? Are there any restrictions on what we can have in our car--I mean food , alcohol , etc?
Thanks
