Sooke Harbor House: Room #1, The Artists or #15: Kingfisher?

Would any of you know the difference between these two rooms? Thanks.

I stayed in the Kingfisher room 2 years ago and it was lovely - just had a look at the web site and given the price difference would strongly recommend #15.

Thanks for your reply..#15 does look lovely. Did you have a look at #1? If so..could you tell me about it? They have a package where I can get either room # 15 or #1 for the same price!! How was the Aerie in general? Any other tips...seat for dinner etc..Thanks again.

Hi Bev - no I don't think I looked at #1 - if they're the same price and you like a tub for 2 it's a great deal.

What we liked about the Kingfisher was the double balconies, spaciousness and light - it was a very pleasant and relaxing.

I don't think you can go wrong with any room frankly!

One suggestion - we stayed there two nights and the second night asked for a custom menu in the dining room (we were there off season and the menu was quite narrow) - they made a list of our favourite foods and produced a lovely 6 course dinner plus wine (for around $150-$175 as I recall).

Have a lovely time.

Elizabeth...Thanks again for your kind reply.Your tip on the meal was great too as we will also be there in the off season and a custom dinner would be lovely. As for the room choice: I am still pondering that one. I am leaning towards #15 as I like the balconies and all of it on one nice sunny level. I believe that #1 is split? Why it is more money I am not sure.... Best regards...
