Nice Restaurant in Guelph Area
Looking to find a nice restaurant for dinner in the Guelph area during the holiday season. Would like nicely decorated/ambiance. Somewhere nice, but not over the
top extravagent. Any ideas ? Thanks-Sherri

I think you'll have more luck with responses on Chowhound/Ontario board. Link here

What about Aberfoyle Mill Restaurant? It is outside of Guelph but it has lots of character. It is closed Dec. 24, 25, and 26 so it may not fit your plans. http://www.aberfoylemill.com/

Thank you both! I did go to Chowhound, and will continue to
look there.
Yes, Aberfoyle is a place we have enjoyed before a couple times and would not hesitate to return. I can also imagine it
would be very nicely decorated for the season. I am just not
sure how long (or difficult ) the drive might be if the weather is not favorable. We are planning to be at H Inn Conference Ctr Hotel, so not really sure where that is located in Guelph in comparison to driving to Aberfoyle.
I wondered if there was something comparable to Aberfoyle that was close to the hotel. (Maybe Aberfoyle is not that far away ??))
I believe maybe it was KODI who gave me some good advice
on a restaurant in Burlington for another inquiry I had.
West Plains Bistro . We have now been 3 or 4 times and
truly appreciated being directed to a lovely restaurant. Thank you !

Sherri, it's so nice to heat that you've been back to the West Plains Bistro. I'm glad you enjoy it .
I'm sorry I don't know of any restaurants in Guelph . My niece works up there. Let me ask her.

Sherri, here is what my niece recommended . ....
The 1st place that comes to mind is "The Other Brother’s" http://www.otherbrothers.ca/ it’s very reasonably priced & the food is DELICIOUS!! Like REALLY DELICIOUS!!! & she couldn't get a better ambiance, especially at Christmas time.
I hope if you go there you will enjoy it .
