Key to Algonquin - help!!

Has anyone visited this campsite? We have booked a log cabin but there are hardly any pics & now I'm worried what it will be like.
There's only just enough time to change!!! We have no children and will be only 2 adults looking for a serene country cabin & environment. Are there campers everywhere?!
Thanks for any halp. Sal

Hello Sal,

I have a cottage there and it is not a serene environment. I campsite is small but states there is 100 sites. The waterfrontage is about 80 feet. There is little privacy. I have never been any of the cottages but they look small from the outside.

Hope this helps

I have not been, but from the description alone.. I would assume NO privacy. 100 sites is a lot of ppl. And Algonquin Park fills up quickly, so the overflow places will definitley be booked. If you head to the other end of the park, Whitney has some lovely places.

I have stayed at this place and let me tell you it was horrible. We stayed in a tent. On the first night, there was a group of drunk people in their 20's. One guys was threatening everyone and came on to our camp site and tried to open our tent. We were scared to death. The owner Gary did absolutely nothing to help us.

We stayed up all night and sat in the car until daybreak. There is no security here. I would not advise to stay here. Also, the owner Gary does not honor reservations even if you call and good luck getting a hold of him.

Terrible dirty dangerous place.

Yeah, but it only took 8 years for a reply (and not 9 as some might believe at a glance).

But on the other hand, don't wait for a reply before you book your trip.
