Hi All,
I am planning to do a 4 Day Photography (Landscape, Nature, Sunrise, Sunsets, Milky Way, National Parks etc) trip in Quebec and nearby places during the July 4th weekend. I have been to Banff, Jasper and hoping to have "similar" kind of shots taken in this region. I understand that this part of Canada has a different landscape.

2 of us will start driving from Fri afternoon from New Jersey and hope to reach Quebec by Sat morning...we are okay to drive 6 to 8 hrs a day and I mainly want to focus on the above photography compositions that I mentioned. And we are planning to leave on Tue afternoon to return home by Tue night

Also, if I had to cover the best National Parks (NP) in this area, which are they and how much time would I need to cover all these (strictly from the basis of getting nice shots, rather than hiking all the trails in these parks)… And which area would have the darkest skies for Star, Milky-Way photography ?

Can you help me shortlist some places, and then I will try to put them on a map and see what all I can cover.

Note that it says "national" parks. That is a loaded word in Quebec which has a national assembly; the rest of Canada has individual provincial legislatures. I make no judgements on this issue; just a caution. Anyhow the Quebec park system is elaborate and eager to have guests.

To include above route, I am planning to add 2 more days to my trip. Need suggestions and which NP and/or State Parks can/should I fit in this route?

I completely understand that i am trying to cover a lot of distance without actually trying to 'SEE' the places and this route involves lot of driving, which is why I need suggestions to optimize and come up with a realistic day wise itinerary

Hello, please be aware that July 1st is Canada Day, and this year in particular a larger celebration than usual to celebrate 150 years.
The roads will be very busy and in some places closed for parades or events. Lodging in larger cities may be more booked than normal.
Check travel web sites in advance of travel. I live in western Canada so am not familiar with road traffic for Quebec web information. I'm sure you will see something once you start browsing.

There is a very well known observatory in eastern Quebec - Mont Megantic.
The countryside around Tadoussac and the Saguenay Fjord is quite dramatic and unique.
The Eastern Townships have some beautiful countryside - nothing spectacular, but many French Canadian style farmhouses, vast open fields, vineyards and lakes.

If you have only two days to add to your Quebec trip, it is simply not enough to get to Cape Breton and drive the Cabot Trail.

Instead I suggest you take the two days to visit the Gaspé coast, including Forillon National Park (Canada) and Bonaventure Island/Percé National Park (Québec)
