sydney tower skywalk - any experiences?

Looks pretty cool but I only found one review on it. Has anyone here done it? When we were there in 03-04 it wasn't open. I think its been around a couple of years now though.
Thanks

patw, well worth it. Great view. I have pictures from 2002-are you sure of your dates? I always aim for the highest point as it gives a nice overview of the city (or town). But then I like cities and can see the whole area at once. (it's the Sydney Tower and SkyTour, btw). I also liked the New Zealand tower and NYC's Twin Towers.

Thanks Tampatramp,

I know The Sydney Tower has been there a long time as we went and had dinner at the top in Jan 1987 as part of our honeymoon. The thing that I know is relatively new is where you are tethered unto a safety bar and all "miked up" to hear the guide and you go on a 2 level walk outside on the top. That seems to be recent. In any case, we will go. We will be in AKL prior to SYD and will do that tower also. I agree with your comment on the Twin Towers. They were amazing. We actually got married at Windows on the World at the top of the WTC almost 21 years ago.
Cheers,
Pat

Hi Tampatramp,
I thought the "skywalk" was newer than that too - but "time flies&quot

Patw .... is this what you mean?

I haven't done it - I want an engine if I'm that high up ... but have friends who loved it.

patw- skyWALK!- I missed that last year when I climbed the Bridge, maybe next time. But it is only on 2 levels. I loved climbing the ladders within the Sydney Bridge. [20 years: congratulations!]

Bokhara- may I suggest, if you do the skywalk, you bring a parachute and not an engine
