port douglas, 1 week to go!

Just to thank everyone for the advice I have received on this board. We are due to leave next Wed. eve from the uk with a stop off in Hong Kong.Meeting husbands twin brother in Port Douglas, (staying at Rydges Reef) so are really looking forward to it.Have been checking the weather forcasts, any local knoweledge on current weather would be good.
Thanks again and I will post a report on our return

Have a great time you lucky thing.
If you can, make sure you call into Palm cove and take a long drink at one of the restaurants, bars or surf club.

Have fun

Hi Juliewood - probably not as warm as the HK I used to know in July (nor as humid), but weather up here, whilst being fairly indifferent for most of the year so far, has just taken a very pleasant turn for the better. Maximum of about 80F, cooler at night, enough to wear a sweater. Hope it remains so for your stay!

Thanks everyone. Weather here in the uk is more like Autumn today, very blustery ! si I am sure POrt Douglas weather is going to be a lot better!
Yes, Muck, we are still going to Tangalooma, staying for a couple of nights and then on to Brisbane for a week whilst husband is at a conference. Daughter and I have a few trips planned.. Whale watching, brisbane Zoo and Lone pine Kolala sanctuary. Time to get thinking of packing I think!.
Thanks again
Julie
