Wearing Leather in India
Am leaving for a 2 week trip to Rajasthan in a week and to simplify packing/weather would like to wear leather. Would that be disrespectful in Hindu society? Any thoughts on the subject?

Hi GEsssa,
People in India do wear leather jackets etc. in this season as it is the peak of the winter season here. Wearing leather jackets, gloves, shoes etc. is not considered inauspicious or an attempt to hurt religious sentiments.
Have a great trip to Rajasthan!

Hindus wear leather, but traditionally don't work in the leather curing business. So, bring your leather and don't worry.
As said above, some temples may require you to remove leather (such as a belt) before entering.
