Thai Airways Promtion
I found this on the Thai Airways website but was wondering if anyone has tried this. If so, how do you get this promotion? I didn't see any instructions on what we're suppose to do.
It's a promotion where you can fly to 3 thailand cities for $169.

i used it just a few weeks ago to fly:
bkk-Chiang mai
Chiang mai - Phuket
Krabi - Bangkok
Booked via a travel agent in bangkok in conjunction with an iternational travel ticket number.
it's 169+ taxes... comes out 210$
cannot be booked via the web.
you can contact Thai directly on the phone and order, and receive E-Tickets.

I just used the Discover Thailand pass. As may_east reported, it is about $211/person. You can add additional legs for another $59+tax per person. You have to provide the international ticket number of the flight you are taking to and from Thailand in order to get this fare.
We went from BKK --> Chiang Mai --> Phuket --> BKK. I called and booked over the phone. The booking itself was easy, but we had a bit of a problem with one of the flights:
We were confirmed on the first and last flights, but were put on the waiting list for the flight from CM to Phuket. If this happens to you, here is my advice:
1. Make sure to give them your Star Alliance mileage number (United Mileage Plus, Lufthansa, Air Canada, etc. see www.staralliance.com) because supposedly it puts you on their "priority waitlist" and bumps you up on the list.
2. Be persistent and call every couple days to see if you've been confirmed on the flight. Their US hours are limited to working days 9 - 5. Even though days passed and we still hadn't paid, the other confirmed flights were held for us.
We were told that the flight was sold out so there was not much chance of us getting on it. Thai Air suggested paying regular fare for the flights, but it would have been $346 each. I decided to wait it out and this morning when I checked my email, I had the confirmation that we were on the flight.
All in all, a great fare and relatively easy booking experience. Good luck and have fun!

ZotZot - The fare was not released yet in Nov for 07 when you first posted this. It is released now and I just recently booked ( and paid for) e tickets on the same itinerary as hannahmont for Feb 07. Booked directly with Thai air for same fare. I hope I won't have the same problem as we are confirmed and have e tickets. The seats have to be booked in a certain category only.

Update on Discover Thailand pass with Thai Air.
Everything worked fine. Just make sure to remember to bring the credit card that you use to pay for the tickets. They do check it at the counter. Thai Air is incredible. Even for such short flights they treat you really well.
Our seats were fine, too. For the first flight, we were in the way back in row 65 but for the second and third flights we were right at the front of the economy section. We got aisle and middle as requested.
All in all, a great experience. Worth the extra effort.
