This link is a good start: http://goo.gl/u19JUL
It's an article from a local publication (Expat Living) about 35 things to do.
I would definitely put on the list: Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, Botanic Gardens and stops in Little India, Chinatown and Arab street.
Www.yoursingapore.com would tell you about any specific events at the time you are here (e.g. F1 race, movies out doors, etc.)

What are your interests? I recommend the Asian Civilizations Museum, one of the best in Asia, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and Gardens by the Bay. For a nice view of the city, go up to the observation point at Marina Bay Sands. If you want a bit of the outdoors, do the Southern Ridge Walk. Chinatown and Little India are good for wandering too.

I consider the Asian Civilizations Museum a must-visit, as well as the Botanical Gardens, especially the Orchid Garden (the largest Display Orchid Garden in the world). I always enjoy a short stop at the Museum in the Raffles hotel.
There is much to do and see in Singapore other than shopping. Indeed, Singapore is now quite expensive for international goods.

My must sees :
Gardens by the bay
China town,
Botanical Gardens
Night Safari/ judrong bird park
Little India
Black pepper crab at Jumbo on Dempsey Hill
Singapore Sling at Raffles
Get an ( over priced) drink at Ku De Ta at Marina Bay Sands- amazing views of Singapore...
For an alternative view go to the Lantern Bar at the Fullerton Bay Hotel,,
Great roof top bar scene at Ang seeing hill
dinner at a hawker centre (Lau Pa Sat is my favourite)
If you like alternative shopping Haji lane has some great dependant boutiques.
I also like the "antique" shopping at Dempsey Hill.
Go to a Palau Ubin (you get a bum boat at Changi village) here you can hire bikes and cycle round the island and then have great seafood after
And last year I went to see the POW memorial near Changi prison, this is the first time in 13 years I have been going to Singapore.that I have been here.... I very much enjoyed this and found it fascinating.
