4 days in Singapore - What would you do?

Planning a quick trip to S'Pore with my parents in 2nd week July. What are the absolute Must-Dos? What would you have done? Looking forward to your replies!

Have you looked at a guide? This is as good a place as any to start:

http://www.fodors.com/world/asia/singapore/

Click on "sights" for a start and find your "must-dos" as they aren't the same for everyone.

2. Night Safari
3. Arab Street
4. China Town
5. Sky Bar at Raffles One (highest point in Singapore)
6. Sentosa
7. Gardens by the Bay

Botanic gardens well worth a visit ,
Jurong bird park.
Asian Civilisation museum ( for a rainy day)
Lau Pa Sat - gorgeous Victorian era hawker centre close to china town ( not sure if it has reopened after refurb?)
If you like shopping, this town is for you!
Drinks at Marina Bay Sands. Or for an alternative view try the Lantern bar at the top of the Fullerton Bay hotel... Gorgeous outside bar ( book ahead)
Shop for antiques at Dempsey hill ( and have a bite to eat after)

I'd vote for the Night Safari. I've done it twice now and both times it was fantastic.

Hello, I hope you find yourself enjoying what Singapore has to offer.

It really depends on your interest of your party.

The main tourist attractions have been listed above.
Aside from that, I wanna bring to your attention that the Muslims in Singapore are celebrating Ramadan till end of July.

Be sure to soak in the fun at the night bazaars in Geylang Serai or if you prefer less people, drop by Arab Street near dusk to get the feel.

I really feel you should visit the Night Bazaar at Geylang Serai though. It is easily accessed via the train. Drop at Paya Lebar MRT station and it starts just at the side of the station. You will never get to experience this any other time of the year. The food, the lights, the festivities. I've seen some adventurous tourists making their way there. Just leave your luggages at your hotel, and dive into the market!

Have fun!

No such thing as must do. Its not the army.

A few ideas

Zoo
Boogie markets
Racecourse
Seaworld

Not much else

Chiangi museum was small and lame unless they have changed it.

The Museum of Asian Civilizations is excellent. And I love the orchid garden in the Botanical Gardens.

Yes, there is no such thing as Chiangi Museum.
I think you guys are referring to the Changi Chapel which has like a mini viewing gallery. That is disappointing. I don't know why is that even considered a tourist pull. It is not.

As Kathie suggested, the Asian Civilisation Museum is personally my favourite of the museums. It has an incredibly rich, in all sense of the word, collection. You will be amazed.

Also, it is at the heart of the city. Just across the Singapore river and near the Esplanade Theatre, etc.

The National Museum offers a modern and carefully edited lesson in the island-state's history. http://www.nationalmuseum.sg/NMSPortal/
Several walking tours are available; one took me to Raffles for a Singapore Sling, an authentic relic of the old days. Small boats do pleasant tours of the inner harbour from Clarke Quai. A Changi prison-internment camp tour will interest war history buffs, especially those from New Zealand and Australia whose countrymen suffered so grimly there during the Japanese occupation. Singapore may have the most enticing array of cuisines in the world so eat non-stop. Also one of the biggest casinos, in Moishe Safdie's immense condo and shopping mall development on the harbour shore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marina_Bay_Sands
And the city core has a number of large, ambitious brewpubs, led by Brewerkz http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_in_Singapore.
I just wish I could afford to go more often because the expenses have risen steadily and bargains are very scarce.

I think Prachuap means Bugis, not Boogie, Market.

I enjoyed taking the lttle ferry boats to Pulau Ubun and then bicycling around the island.

Both the zoo and the Night Safari are interesting. They let you get really close to the animals in Singapore!

Often the library (near the Intercontinental Hotel) has some great historical displays.

My favorite (beside eating) is to get up very early in the morning and walking through the National Gardens, watching the Joggers, Tai Chi and other interesting types of exercise, then going into the Orchid garden there. You want to go right when it opens; otherwise it gets pretty hot in the parks. I'd also love to see the new gardens by the bay. We were there a few days before they opened.

I've always wanted to go on a Betel Box food tour, but am never there on the right night. Friends loved it.

I second the Gaylan Serai Night Market. It is an experience and there is wonderful food.
