recharging electronics

Has anyone had trouble recharging their cell phones/ipods/camera batteries/etc while in China? Just curious about what kind of converters people purchased to recharge their US appliances in China. Thanks for your input!

All of the electronics you speak about will run on both 110 and 220 so there is no need for a converter. Look at the charger and it will tell you right on it what electricity it will run on. The most you should need is a plug adapter. I always take my ipod, digital camera and cell phone to Asia and charge them there with just a plug adapter.

There's no one true standard for prongs in China. Officially, they use the two flat prongs (equal length - US two prongs with one longer will not fit). But you'll also find the UK-type big 3-prong outlets at many hotels. Some also has the two round prongs that fit European plugs. It's best to carry an adapter kit with multiple configurations.

The link that Neil_Oz give you has excellent description.

I have to bring several chargers with me to China. They are all multivoltage, 110-240V. However, the power cords that come with the chargers are 125V. I find this very perculiar. Will this pose a problem? Could it cause any damage to equipment? Thanks.
