Ranthambore in Early October?

Does anyone have experience with Ranthambore Park in early October?

How's the game?

Weather?

What should we expect of the foliage at that time? Lots of green? Or brownish scrubland?

While this may not be the ideal time to go, it fits into our schedule very nicely.

Oct is not a bad month to see game - basically, the hotter months the tigers are more likely to be near the watering holes. We went in April which was VERY hot but managed to see 5 tigers including 2 at 10 feet distance! The park is still green and not brown. I should also tell u there is a wide variety of game u will see other than tigers. It will be warm tho so be forewarned. Also, ASAP book your jeep safaris as u are already late.

Thanks for the reply.

Also, we are considering Oct. 2005, so we have a bit of time. We'll need to decide soon, though since we travel using ff miles and must book 331 days in advance.

Oct is one of the months where every subsequent week temps get a bit better.
