Park Hotel Tokyo or Mercure Ginza?

I am staying in Tokyo for 6 days for business. I really like nice hotels but can't go above $250/night including taxes. I've stayed in the Park Hotel Tokyo and absolutely adored it. However, it is a little out of the way. I've heard people recommend the Mercure Ginza as another nice boutique hotel in Tokyo, and it also fits well in the budget. It's certainly better situated. However, the reviews on tripadvisor are definitely not as good (and one mentioned smoke smell seeping in from a lower floor - blah!).

Any comments on my choices? Are there others that would fit into my budget and need for a good location? I definitely want a "nice" hotel - for example, the Shinagawa Prince was not the best choice for me b/c it was older and the rooms were quite tired (in one of the newer areas of the hotel).

Thanks!

Any responses? Any ideas on other potential hotels?

Birder:

We're staying at the Park in April, for $170...I calculate it's about ten minute walk to the Ginza...is it an easy or difficult one?

I never walked to Ginza from there. But there's tons of cool stuff nearby. Now that I think about it, I'm definitely staying at the Park b/c I LOVE LOVE it. Art, performances, lots of shops. Some of it you access underground (and it can be a little confusing at first, but I got the hang of it quickly).

I have heard great things about the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in Shibuya. Nice area and the last time I checked, rates were about $200 (incl. tax). They are rated well on tripadvisor and I was very much interested on staying here but we ended up using our Starwood points at the Westin (another great hotel but I believe closer to $300 per night).
