Need help

My husband and I are planning a trip to Malaysia over the Christmas holiday. We are looking to hire a car and driver to go to malacca for a day , the cameron highlands for a day and around KL for another day. We are also interested in having a driver in Penang to go to Kellie's castle and any other sites that anyone would recommend. Should we include Kuching? This is our first trip to Malaysia and any help would be glady accepted.

Isn't Kellie's Castle near Ipoh? eg. a short drive from Cameron highlands but a long one from Penang.

Your right about Kellie's castle being close to the Cameron highlands. Thanks

Recently I booked a limo transfer in KL and was picked up by a freelancer. He's middle-aged with a black Mercedes Benz and gave me his card so I can deal with him directly in future. I got chatting to him about needing a driver to Lumut (ie Pangkor Laut) one day which is much further than Malacca. He quoted me RM$600 for one way. A Malacca tour is On his card. His name is T C Low mobile no 60-123891113. 60 is the country code. Check him out, don't forget to negotiate. I would use him again if I needed someone to drive me.

You really don't have time to include Kuching, though it is a wonderful city.

Since you are going to Penang, you may want to read Kathie's Penang, Chiang Mai and Bangkok Trip report, posted November, 2006. I highly recommend staying at the E&O Hotel in Penang (in the heart of Georgetown).
