Laptop outlet
May sound like dumb question, but I need to be in Singapore july 6-13 for work and was wondering if my US plug on my laptop will work or if I need to get an adapter. Mine is the 3-prong for US& Canada

Singapore uses what I think of as "British" plugs, the kind with three huge square prongs. Don't forget to check your notebook's power adaptor. I don't think I've seen one that wasn't 110 - 240 in many years, but it does need to accept 220 volts.

Your British (3-prong) adapter will definitely work in Singapore. Hotels always have extras. I know I've left enough UK adapters there! FYI, there's a switch next to the 3-prong outlets that must be flipped on in order for electricity to flow.
As MichaelBKK said, you need to be sure your laptop's AC/DC adapter can handle 220v. If not, you need both an adapter (so you can plug into the outlet) and a converter (to knock down the power so you don't fry your laptop.)
