Hello
We will be travelling to VIetnnam shortly and are tossing up where to stay in Halong CIty and take a day cruise on Hanoi Bay .. or spend 1 night on Cat Ba Island as we've been told it's the same scenery you are looking at and more relaxing.
Thanks for your advice.
Halong Bay day cruise or Cat Ba Island

If you really want an experience of Halong Bay, you need to spend a night on a boat, not just a day cruise.
We stayed 2 nights on the Dragon Pearl and it was an unbelievably wonderful experience. Everyone worked so hard to make all the guests have a truely special holiday.

We did one night on the Dragon Pearl and it was beautiful. I would say with a day cruise u might not c much.

I agree with #2 & 3, you should choose 2 days trip and have a night on board
This is exciting...Hai i want also to experience onboard. Next time we will plan about that.
If possible why dont you try to visit both places so that it will be more exciting.
