Delta flight from Narita to Singapore
Hi,
We are booked to travel by the Delta flight 167 from Narita to Singapore. I checked the flight history for the past month or so and it appears that the flight is delayed about 8/10 times, mostly in the range of 2-5+ hours delay leaving Narita!
Would anybody know why this is so? Other airlines flights scheduled to leave for the same destination around the same time seem to be leaving mostly on time so it cannot be a weather situation.
Anyone able to share their experience travelling this leg on the Delta flight?
Thanks!

It is a feeder flight to connect from other flights from the US, and the aircraft also likely arrives from the US. So, first the aircraft may be late departing the US. And DL will also likely hold this flight for other late-arriving passengers from the US. The aircraft overnight in SIN anyways, so little problem for them for late arrival.

It just makes sense for the airlines (DL or UA, which do the same things). Much better to have a flight arriving SIN late (nobody is going to miss a wedding or meeting or cruise when arriving 2am rather than midnight), than having to accommodate 50 passengers stranded in Tokyo.
