China: Food/Water Question.

Greetings, leaving for China in 3 weeks and for a two week private tour via China Odyssey. I am curious to find out about the bottled water in China. We had some unusual bottle water experiences in Egypt and India (in Egypt bottled water has a very high mineral content so it never seems to quench your thirst or maybe your just thirsty all of the time due to the climate). What "brands" of water are we most likely to run into and does anyone have a best/favorite? Also with food, we are pretty careful with eating during travel (baaad stories for that decision) so pretty much stick to vegetarian food (in really nutty areas we do just rice and bread) how easy is it to get cooked vegetarian meals? Are we likely to see a lot of western food options (which we generally avoid)? Thanks in advance for your help.

娃哈哈 - Wahaha - water seems to be everywhere in China.

KFC are also almost everywhere, so are various Chinese fastfood chains that sell burgers and fried chicken. Starbucks are everywhere.

Are you vegetarian? If not, it would be a shame to miss out on some of the Chinese options. There is great seafood available and you can't miss trying Peking Duck.

Thanks so much for the helpful replies. Anything else is welcome. Not sure about Peking Duck, I might have a taste, but my man has a really hard time with meat.. so we are veggie most of the time. I know I am crazy, but I don't typically travel to eat..I am the type that goes to Paris and lives on cheese crepes and overpriced b-fest (talk about a lack of taste).
