ATM's at Hanoi airport

The ATM's DO NOT WORK. My husband tried them all and ended up using his mastercard because we were desperate. Alana

I had no difficulty with the ATMs there, Sorry you did,

I do always carry some emergency cash in US$100 bills just in case an ATM doesn't work os is not available.

Best to carry your US cash in smaller denominations though. The taxi fare from Hanoi airport to the city is about $12; I wouldn't count on the taxi driver having change for a $100 dollar note if I were you.

Chimani, I carry the US$100 bills to exchange. as you get a better rate than for smaller bills. There are exchange winows at the Hanoi airport. That gives you dong to pay taxi fares and other things.
