Vancouver Ariport lounges?
Can anyone give me the run-down on the lounges available on the international side at YVR?
I have a day-long layover in Vancouver airport before boarding a BA flight to Heathrow at 8 p.m., and I'm hoping for some down time. I'm flying business, but on the BA website it looks like the BA business lounge doesn't open until 17:30 -- and I can't make out whether they have sleeping rooms. I hear there is one lounge that does, but can't find out if a BA ticket would give me access -- also wondering whether it's necessary to book a sleeping/shower room at this one in advance.
Your experience would be welcome! Thanks,

You can use this lounge on a "pay for day" basis regardless of airline or class of ticket.

The BA lounge at YVR is very small and has neither showers nor a sleeping area. The Cathay Pacific lounge (open at mid-day and late night) is also small and also doesn't have showers or sleeping areas.

I haven't used the Plaza Premium Lounge in Vancouver which RoamsAround links to above, but I have used theirs in Hong Kong and found it good value. You might get a discount by booking in advance through Viator.
For showers and a nap you might have more luck finding a day room at a hotel. A quick search turned up Fairmont Airport, $222 for 8 hours. There could be others.

The Fairmont , while not cheap is very nice , super comfy beds . We stay there before and after flights as we live on the island and often have early or late flights in and out of Vancouver . It's super convenient too !!
