traveling with prescription medication with friend to NL
Can my sons girlfriend bring his prescription medication to him when she fly over there this spring? It iv meds in there prescription boxes with a the prescription and a doctors note. Will customs stop her? seize the medication? We are having a terrible time getting it to him- it is nearly impossible.
He has hemophilia and infuses himself and cannot pay out of pocket for the meds there. insurance will only cover ER situations and still he pays upfront ( $2000) arGH!!

I can't see any reason why this should be a problem, as long as there is a letter fro a Dr. and it doesn't contain a large quantity of narcotics. The chances of anyone looking in her bags is pretty slim. Getting it through security when leaving home and also onto any connecting flight might be an issue if it is in her carry on luggage.

I disagree that it's am obvious OK. If it is a liquid and she's trying to bring it on the plane, I do think it could be an issue. While medications have certain exceptions to the liquid/gel/size rules, I don't know if they transfer when the meds are not your own.
You can't FedEx or DHL them?
