Spainair Business Class to Europe - Worth it?

Hi,
Has anyone flown from U.S. to Europe on Spainair business class? I've read a lot of posts indicating that the service in Spainair Business Class is really no different, other than an empty middle seat. Thinking about upgrading, especially on the long flight back, but wondering if it's worth it.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Spanair does not fly to the US. Perhaps this is a codeshare?

It's a United codeshare, but a Spainair plane.

From the US? What city are you departing from, and where are you going? I think you have it backwards.

They codeshare with Aer Lingus to Washington and US Air to Philadelphia. United probably has it as a codeshare, too.

My mistake - it's an Aer Lingus plane - mztery (above) is right. But on the Aer Lingus it's still just two classes of service. I got a great deal on the tickets $800, so was thinking of upgrading, but not sure if there's a significant difference.

Well, Aer Lingus business class is an actual business class, with bigger seats, but I wouldn't say it is particularly well-regarded. Certainly better than coach, but it does not have the reputation of some of the better carriers. No idea what the process would be to try and upgrade a previously booked coach ticket.

I'd factor in the length of the flight too. If you go business you'll never want to go back to coach!
