Delta - checked in bags

We have checked in our bag on-line for a flight tomorrow. Do we still have a $2 charge for the bag if we use curbside check in? Thanks in advance!

Curbside fee doesn't apply if you've checked your bags online https://www.delta.com/traveling_chec...ckin/index.jsp

Tips are part of our trips without even thinking twice - "extra" charges irritate me, however.
Thanks for your help, folks. We're getting ready to leave soon so your quick responses are very welcome!

Can this be done for overseas trips too? We are going from JFK to Edinburgh with Delta.

Why do you need to tip the curb side check in?? Do you tip the check in person at the desk inside?? Or the person that takes the bag from that check in person or the conveyor belt?

If traveling overseas, you cannot use curbside checkin..... at least not in any airport I've ever flown from in the US..,.,

You tip at curbside because that person is doing you the extra service of not having to lug your bags inside and wait in line to deliver them. You tip them because they are not employees of the airline as is the person who sits behind the desk, and as such, earn minimal wages, even if the airline charges a fee for checking bags. This fee does not go to the curbside checkin person. If you do not like the idea of tipping, then you are free to not use this service.

jules39, you are obligated to tip the curbside porter because it is the custom.

Like the OP said, it is part of the trip, not extra.
