Allelulia...amen...amen!

Well it's about time! "Air Rage" vindication!<BR>Now I think it's time passengers file a class action suit against the airlines and DEMAND courteous service...DEMAND a ticket that's worth a SEAT! DEMAND the airlines stop their practice of overbooking, cancelling WITHOUT GOOD REASON AND, last, but not least, DEMAND COURTESY from their EMPLOYEES...CUSTOMERS (us) pay good money for seats ..It's not 'air rage' it's more appropriately called being tired after waiting hours on end to board a flight after being bumped because the airline overbooked a flight (a very common occurrence these days)...or waiting hours on end while a mechanic fixes a problem...now it seems the airlines won't let you off a plane once you've boarded if the pilot decides he won't fly. Let's get together and stand up for passenger rights.

You need to start drinking de-caf..I travel a fair amount ..I do not work for an airline... I have encountered very few problems along the way..Yes, a few are late...yes, a few are cancelled...and yes, a few are overbooked...so to each their own opinion...Have a nice flight and remeber to order de-caf.

Hello<BR><BR>I think any delay involving repairs is worthwhile, certainly better than the aircraft screaming out of the air mid-flight and crashing because a minor mechanical problem wasn't fixed before the flight!!! Delays happen now and then and its just part of everyday airline travel. If you aren't travelling for business, then maybe try a different form of travel like rail or ship and then you will avoid any air-travel related problems!<BR><BR>Happy travelling.

This was not a case of someone who had been "abused" by Continental. As far as I am concerned, that guy should have had the book thrown at him. <BR> <BR>Let me say at this point that I am not associated with any airline, and God knows, I have experienced my share of delays, cancellations, lost luggage, etc. I also absolutely agree that a passenger's bill of rights would be a positive step in the right direction. But Elise, I must wonder if you have ever worked in a customer service position? I suspect not, because I think that you might have a bit more compassion for airline personnel. Not all of them are professional, but the vast majority are, and I wouldn't take their job for ANY amount of money! Mabye you should try working as a gate agent for a couple of months? Methinks you would have a RADICALLY different opinion than the one you're currently spouting? <BR> <BR>But attacking airline employees is NOT ACCEPTABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Then again, I thought we were a supposedly civilized nation that lived by the rule of law . Guess Elise feels otherwise . . .

I agree with DS, the guy should have had the book thrown at him. I understand the airline employee has filed a civil suit against the idiot that body slammed him to the ground. I hope he wins!
