Air France Premium Economy Worth it?

Has anyone flown premium economy on Air France? We are looking for flights from San Francisco to Rome for next year. I'm thinking of upgrading as my hubby is really tall and never flown a long haul flight farther then NY. The price was not a huge difference. Any other airlines you recommend for a bit more leg room? Any info would be great. Thank you!

I like United because you can buy the premium economy (which gives you about 3-4 inches more leg room, no extra seat width) for only about $125-150 each way to Paris (from east coast). I can afford that, I can't afford it on any other airline. If it really is only a little more, I'd definitely take it for such a long flight. YOu can see the space difference on www.seatguru.com

AF premium economy is better than some other airlines becuase it gives you a slightly wider seat, not just leg room. And the Leg room is often more. For example, on United, the different in leg room is about 3" and nothing on the seat (wchih I don't really care much about, actually, the leg room is the only thing that matters to me). But on AF, the seat is a couple inches wider and the leg room may be about 5-6 inches more.

I've never seen AF premium economy on my routes for only a little more, if i9t were, I'd take it. A lot of their flights are Delta, though, so be sure of that as Delta isn't as good in their premium econ. I'd still always take it for such a long flight on any airline if it were only a little more.

Yes I have, much smaller cabin ( although seats are not the comfy) but the extra legroom is welcome... I got the exit seats so a ton of extra legroom and I booked these online! Worth it (IMHO)

Also if your flight involves a stop in Paris the Europe leg involves access to the lounge but not if it's the to from SFO leg.....
