A Passenger’s Airport Wish List - What would you like to see?
The Sunday NY Times has a great article (see link) on what travelers would like to see at airports -- such as comfortable seats in waiting areas with electrical outlets, cleaner bathrooms, better food, less noisy announcements and televisions in waiting areas, childrens' play area, etc. Some are even being implemented by airports already.

You can post your comments at the link below. Maybe airports will actually read the postings and take note:

I would like less announcements. I don't need to be told once past security about the 3 ounce liquid rule. I don't need to be told every three minutes that the airport is functioning at "Code Orange." I would like to see a sign going through security that says, "Is your water bottle empty?" That would be helpful. At London's Heathrow airport they are limited airport noise. Only the final boarding call can be announced. Why not a silent boarding with the information displayed on the television screen? The screen could display, Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.
I like it when the rental car center is located at the airport and you don't have all of the buses going by the airport making rounds to the off-area rental site.

There are exhaustive wish lists here:

Personally, free wifi, some electrical outlets, edible food, and a modicum of effort at keeping the security lines reasonably efficient is good enough for me.

I like airports just the way they are. I'm lucky in that most of the ones I go thru regularly already have clean bathrooms, very good food choices, nice shops, some ammenities like chair massage, etc. Wouldn't change a thing.
