Zanzibar dressing
Is the clothing for Zanzibar a little more dressy than what I will need for the safari part of my Kenya/Tanz trip or will it be adequate to go with the packing lists posted on this forum?

Lots of people visiting Zambia have just been on safari, so don't worry about dressing up too much, though ladies might wish to have a longish light skirt with them. If you feel the need to look smarter, there are plenty of shops in Stone Town.
It's more important to recognise that it's a muslim island. When off the beach you should dress modestly (male and female) so wear shorts and skirts or sarongs that cover your knees, or capri pants, and T shirts etc that cover your shoulders. Anyway, it's wise to cover up in the evenings, to avoid mosquito bites.

It will be hot and humid, so you'd probably want to wear sandals. Londonres has given you good tips about clothing. I've seen "zip-off" pants that zipped off to capris, rather than shorts, which would be handy.
